What Is ALT. Fragrances?
ALT. Fragrances make discounted clones of designer fragrances. Their line of fragrances is extremely cheap when compared to niche high-end cologne houses. ALT. was built on a simple question, “Why can’t fragrances be cheaper?”
Thus ALT. Perfumers recreated very closely but not entirely the same scent profile of many of the most high-end cologne and perfumes. The differences are so subtle that only the best expert noses can tell the difference. It’s that close!
This is not those cheap rip-off scents you can buy that barely smell like the original that you can purchase at most drug stores or supercenters. The quality is so superior to those cheap knock-offs.
Why Buy From ALT. Fragrances?
Price – Shop niche perfumes or colognes, and you will quickly experience sticker shock. Prices can range from $300.00 to $600.00 dollars for a single bottle. Well, at ALT. Fragrances prices go as high as $69.00 and oftentimes far less ($39.00) depending on the size of the bottle purchased. Way cheaper!!!
How Good Is The Clone? – Their line of clones is highly respected among frag heads (people who collect and use fragrances). Many videos can be found on YouTube reinforcing this. This is because their version of the fragrance is very close to the original version.
How close? Depending on the cologne, they often range around 90% to 95% similar in scent profile.
There Scents Rock! – Why do they rock? They copy the scents of only the most popular and well-known sought-after high-priced colognes and perfumes. They are of high quality to my nose.
Male & Female – They make clones of high-end fragrances, both cologne for men and perfume for women.
Not Overly Synthetic Smells – I don’t know how they manage to duplicate the smells of more natural fragrances, but they do. I personally prefer more natural smells like sandalwood and woody scents, but they do it for far less money.
Longevity – I usually get 6 to 8 hours of longevity with the colognes I purchased from ALT, which is more than enough for me. I find spraying the fragrance on clothes gives a lot longer performance than spraying on the skin, and I have found the scent can last a week if sprayed on clothes.
4 Sizes To Choose From – The bottles come in two sizes, 30ml/ 1OZ or 60ML/ 2 OZ, and they also come in their new pocket sprayers that hold 20 ml. These pocket sprayers are credit card-sized atomizers that make bringing along your scent super easy, either in a Dopp kit when traveling or just in your pocket when at the office or out on the town.
They also sell various sample sets that include 5 – 5ml samples. A great way to explore without using a bunch of money.
ALT. Best Sellers & My Favorites
I have dipped my toe into colognes for years now, searching for my signature scent; I have bought many bottles of cologne and decanters (really small bottles) of high-end colognes for a reduced price. I am by no means a “frag head,” but I do enjoy a pleasant cologne from time to time. I have often compared these decants to some of the ALT’s clones of these specific clones, and they often match up to 90% or higher to the original. It’s very hard to tell the difference.
I haven’t tried all of ALT’s colognes but have tried 7 of them, and out of the seven of them, I have loved five of them and have only liked one of and disliked only one of them (Peach Smash). Peach Smash was, to my nose, more a female scent than a man’s scent. I can’t wait to explore more of their collection.

Executive Parfum (Platinum Edition)
This is a must-have and will not disappoint! Creed Aventus cologne is and has been such a popular and well-regarded cologne that I just had to try ALT’s version. This is a mixture of different alliterations of Creed’s different batches of Aventus through the years, taking the best of the older versions as well as the best of the newer versions combined to please anyone. I just love this scent! They really do a fantastic job with this one.
Top Notes: Pineapple, Bergamot, Blackcurrant, Apple
Middle Notes: Birch, Patchouli, Pinkberries, Jasime
Base Notes: Musk, Vanilla, Ambergris, Oakmoss
Agar Gold No.2
Agar Gold to my nose, this one is a subtly sexy and sophisticated cologne. I wear this in the colder months when I go out to dinner with my wife. This is their take on Tom Ford’s Oud Wood with top notes of rosewood, cardamom, and pepper. With middle notes of Oud, Vetiver, and Sandalwood. The base notes are Vanilla, Amber, and Tonka Bean.
I’ve gotten many compliments wearing this cologne! I would say this one is a must-buy.
Mohair No.18
The best Green Irish Tweed clone! Hands down, the best. Mohair No.18 is in the high 90% of smelling exactly like the original.
I have many clones and decants of the original famous Creed’s Green Irish Tweed. This is the closest I have found to the original. I can’t tell the difference in the scent profile. Scent I just love as it works very well with a manly middle-aged age to an older gentleman. This is not a clubbing scent but more of a modern, sophisticated throwback scent.
Top Notes: Lemon Peppermint
Middle Notes: Violet
Base Notes: Iris, Sandalwood, Ambergris
Brick No. 24
Brick No. 24 is a clone of the very popular cologne by Tom Ford Tuscan Leather. Now, I typically don’t like leather-smelling cologne, but I took a chance on this, and boy, was I pleasantly surprised by how much I love it! A very modern approach to using a leather scent profile that is sure to please most men.
I have never smelt the original Tom Ford Tuscan Leather cologne, but I don’t really need to either, as this is a real stunner. Such a well-blended cologne, it has layer upon layer of appeal. This, to me, is a date cologne that can be worn throughout the year and seasons. The light raspberry notes, along with leather notes, make this a very versatile scent.
Top Notes: Saffron, Raspberry, Thyme
Middle Notes: Jasmine, Olibanum
Base Notes: Leather Suede, Amber, Woody Notes
Saxophone
Alt’s Saxophone is initially inspired by Maison Martin Margiela’s Jazz Club. I am very much into jazz music and was extremely eager to see what this would smell like. This, to me, is another home run as it is a highly complex blend of different notes that are very appealing.
This is another leather cologne that I found out I love, as long as it is blended well with other notes and not just leather by itself. This, to me, smells of a night on the town visiting high-end clubs with the scents of the bar and, off in the distance, subtle cigar smoke. It is complex and well-blended, and it is hard to nail down what you love about it.
Top Notes: Pink Pepper, Neroli, Lemon
Middle Notes: Rum, Sage, Vetiver
Base Notes: Tobacco Leaf, Vanilla Bean, Styrax

Yes, some fragrances can be highly offensive to others in your vicinity. Big scent projections, sometimes across the room even. I don’t like that either. I like more subtle natural scents that don’t blare out to everyone “Hey everyone I’m wearing a clubbing scent.” I believe some of the fragrances at ALT have these qualities. I would suggest if you want to look into more natural smelling fragrances. These types of scents are far less disruptive to people.
Yes, finding your signature scent is often expensive and time-consuming like you suggest. But I do have some suggestions for you.
1. Try Discount Designer Fragrances – like ALT Fragrances. These are some of the best highly sought out scents without the huge price tag.
2. Buy small – Oftentimes you can buy or even get for free sample sizes or decants. There are many places online to get decants and a Google search will turn up many. You don’t want a whole bottle of cologne that you don’t like, for example off of a blind buy.The smaller the bottle the cheaper it is.
3. Facebook – Has many groups surrounding perfumes/colognes. Join them and ask around.
