Yes, this works wonderfully.

It destroys pubic hair and protects against nicks and cuts. I didn’t have one nick when I used it. This surprised me. Not one single nick and I didn’t even have to pay strict attention to proper technique. However, you should always pay attention to technique and read the manual.

One of the easiest groin trimmers I have used. As I just trimmed hair and didn’t worry about nicking myself. Ease of mind is off the charts.

The slim handle and small trimmer head allow you to trim hard-to-reach areas effectively. The handle has a ribbed texture to it, which helps keep a secure grip on this trimmer.

The two heroes of this story are the Philips Norelco OneBlade blade and the Skin Protect guide comb. These two combinations do a superb job of trimming hair while protecting you.

This really trims hair very close to the skin. It is just as good as other trimmers I’ve reviewed. I prefer to trim or shave because it is much faster, and the results are just as good.

What Is The Philips Norelco OneBlade Intimate?

This is a trimmer specifically designed to address hair in more sensitive areas. Areas like the groin area and the armpits. This is a rechargeable trimmer.

Philips Norelco designed the microblade to have an almost shave-like trim. Coupled with that, they developed a specific guard to address sensitive areas. The Intimate comes with two guards, a Skin Protect (White) and a Body Comb (Yellow). The Skin Protect allows you to trim hair very close to the skin while the Body Comb allows you to leave more stubble if that is your thang.

How Does This Differ From The Other OneBlade Trimmers?

This is a very slimmed-down version, both in weight and thickness, compared to the other models. This results in lower run times, longer charging times, and a less powerful motor. Also, the angle of the trimmer head is more tilted than the other models, giving it a more horizontal angle.

I love OneBlade, which every version you choose. These are all great grooming tools that any many would be happy to use.

How Long Do The Blades Last?

Philips Norelco recommends changing the blade every four months. I have found this to be about right.

When the blades get dull, you will notice poor performance and tugging or pulling of hair.

Can You Use This Without The Guide Combs To Trim Groin Hair?

No, it is not recommended to use this without using either the white or yellow guide comb. Without the attachments, you will cut yourself down there.

Can You Use This On Your Beard?

I would say no, you shouldn’t. This should be used for groin hair and armpit hair, and maybe body hair trimming and not facial hair. Even though it probably should work for hygiene reasons, you should keep a separate trimmer.

Plus, the motor isn’t as powerful as the other OneBlade trimmers.

How Do You Remove The White Guard (Skin Protect Attachment)?

You can remove the white guard from the blade either to change the blade or trim body hair closer to the skin.

To detach the Skin Protect from the blade, hold on of the short sides of the Skin Protect between your index finger and your thumb. Use your thumb to push the upper corner of the Skin Protect upwards until released from the blade.

To attach the Skin Protect onto the blade, hook one short end of the Skin Protect around the blade and press down on the other end until the Skin Protect snaps into place.

Philips Norelco OneBlade Intimate hits it out of the park with their newest trimmer. The new guide comb (Skin Protect) is a simple design but kicks butt. Although there are a few negatives overall, this provides a trimmer you can feel safe using. Their micro-blade design is the best on the market which is another major selling point.

I think this would make a great groin trimmer for men or women. I highly recommend this product.
